About
the Mural Artist Program
The Jersey Cares Mural Artist Program was designed to engage
local artists in community service by offering them a unique
volunteer experience that grants them the opportunity of
having their artistry displayed in nonprofit agencies,
schools and community centers throughout New Jersey.
Mural painting projects are often the most popular and
spectacular aspect of our programming and they are made
entirely possible by the creativity and dedication of
volunteer mural artists who we depend on to sketch them in
advance. The value and overwhelmingly positive impact of
these murals reverberates within these revitalized agencies
for years to come. Specifically, they offer the seniors,
children and families, who are served by these agencies, a
refreshingly vibrant sense of renewal and optimism for the
future.
Project
Locations
Currently, most of our programming takes place locally in
Morris, Essex, Union, Passaic and Hudson counties. However,
as our organization continues to grow rapidly, we are
in constant need of new and enthusiastic mural artists to
contribute their creativity to our ever expanding community
based programs.
Timing
Sketching can
be done according to your schedule in advance of the
project. The Jersey Cares Staff will connect you with our
agency partners to choose a convenient time for both of you.
